#SharingOurStash – Beautiful Velvets

It’s the last stash for 2015 and we’ve a treat for you – lots of beautiful velvets! Before I tell you more, do take a moment to check out the other stashes; there’s everything from buttons to fabrics and trimmings!

If you have missed why I am giving away (or selling incredibly cheap!) so much from my studio, I’ll give you a quick recap. There’s a number of reasons. Firstly, I need to make some space in my studio but more importantly, my values are very much about sustainability, upcycling and waste reduction. I don’t want the unused materials ending in the trash, I don’t want to add to landfill, and I truly believe there’s so many creative minds out there can upcycle these materials to make something fabulous. These stashes aren’t scraps, they’re good quality and I am offering them out to people like you!

#SharingOurStash – The Sixth Stash

As with previous fabrics, these are all £1/m plus shipping of £3. Overseas max charge is £8, UK max charge is £5. You can request as much as you like, but minimum is half a meter. Please have a quick read of the T&Cs. Here is what’s available…

#SharingOurStash – Velvet Inspiration

As we were putting this stash together we realised how perfect it would be for New Year outfits and celebrations so that’s where we’re focusing our inspiration this week.

Easy Peasy Gathered Skirt / Skater Dress / White Rabbits Hat (am thinking fancy dress parties!) / Velvet Envelope Clutch / No Sew Bow Tie / DIY Velvet Shrug / Child’s Cape

I am obsessing over that clutch. So easy to make so if you’re a beginner this is a great one for you. I also stumbled across this post about how to emboss velvet with a rubber stamp and iron. Great way to add detailing.
